Unique and Aggressive
When Angus (@dubfordstyling on Instagram) shared his wheel idea we knew this car was going to be something special. Paying tribute to DTM-styled wheels of 80s, the plan was to develop a monoblock wheel setup that featured custom machined centers to accept centerlock adapters.
Several iterations of design took place in order to get the face proportions just right. When finished, the wheels will also accommodate some unique decal treatments and that needed to be considered.
Final renders from various angles were approved and it was off to production.
First process is to lathe the raw forgings to begin to take the desired shape. This process removed excess material form the inner barrel and back-side of the face.
Then the front face is machined to reveal the wheel design.
And after refinish, the final product is ready. This set finished in a high-gloss OEM silver.
The end result and execution on the car is incredible. We love working with clients that have a real vision for what they are trying to accomplish with their car, and Angus is no exception.
