Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
AWC was a company founded on the notion that being different is what makes the automotive modification culture so special. Customization and expressing ones personality through unique car builds is just plain awesome, and while we may not always agree with choices made, as true enthusiasts we sure can respect them.
Powered by a Chevrolet 5.3L V8 and twin Turbonetics TNX40 turbochargers, the AWC 911 needed a wheel setup that would help get the power planted. Strong, wide, light...yet subtle were the requirements.
Inspired by '80's and '90 F1 wheels and then the popular Enkei RPF1, these took shape. After a few chassis measurements, the largest wheels we could fit under the body were 18x9.5 +5 and 18x12 +20 front and rear respectively. These sizes were chosen to make the installation of 265/35 and 315/30 tires possible.
As with most of the wheels we do, they don't see rubber before we apply a few healthy coats of CeramicPro. CeramicPro is a nano coating that not only protects the wheel, but makes them impervious to road-grime and fallout. Clean up is a snap.
We are always fascinated by unique car builds and in turn the wheels that are featured on those cars. If you have a build in the works and are looking for something unique, learn more here and contact us.
